One tweet. Seven characters. That’s all it took for fans of the previous Skate games to start getting hyped. #skate4.
Senior EA community manager Daniel Lingen posted a tweet on Twitter teasing that Skate 4 might actually be a thing, and fans are going crazy. Or at least, their tweets imply they are. This sort of reaction is completely justified — it has been nearly seven years since Skate 3 [official site] was released — I just didn’t think seven characters could get people hyped so much.

That’s it. That’s all it took. No details, no follow up, but it has over 10,000 retweets and over 20,000 likes. Do we know if this is 100% legitimate and Skate 4 is actually coming out in the future? No. It could be false hopes and dreams for all we know. If that ends up being the case, then kudos to Lingen for starting something massive — a trend, only to crush everyone’s dreams.
But it could be true, and that’s all fans needed to know.
