It’s only been a month and a bit since Dead by Daylight [official site]’s last DLC pack was released, now there’s more – “Of Flesh and Mud”. Welcome to the swamp!
Before I start talking about the new $7 pack that was released for the multiplayer survival horror a few hours ago, I would like to throw my two cents in. I disagree with DLC that you have to buy. I don’t like it when developers charge you for a game, then make you pay for extra content that should have been there in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, Dead by Daylight is great, but if the developers are going to add stuff, just up the price of the game $10-$15 and distribute the DLC as free updates instead of pricey add-ons.
That being said, I’ll probably still buy this one, because I’ve spent a lot of time playing the game and I don’t intend to stop anytime soon; it’s fantastic and I want to try everything the devs have to offer.
Anyway, that’s just my take on it.
Of Flesh and Mud has introduced a new map, “Blackwater Swamp”, which is basically a swamp. ‘Nuff said. From first glance, I thought it looked like the original map, but upon closer inspection, it actually seems pretty cool. A new killer has also come with the pack, “The Hag”. He/she/it looks pretty damn creepy, like me when I first wake up in the morning. This murderous psychopathic mud monster relies on new things called “Hex Totems” (which sound slightly confusing to me at the moment but I’m sure I’ll figure it out). Last but not least, a new survivor, “Ace”, has been brought along with the new map and monster, with his own perks revolving around luck as opposed to skill.
